APIMONDIA will continue the development of our office in Rome in order to be able to fulfil the obligations to its members.

APIMONDIA will continue to increase the information flow from the organisation to its members.

APIMONDIA will update the website www.apimondia.org with new information and the digital version of APIACTA will be available free of charge on the website.

APIMONDIA will work closely together with the Australian Organising Committee to prepare the 40th APIMONDIA congress in Melbourne 2007.

APIMONDIA will organise an internal workshop to discuss “how to improve our congresses, seminars and workshops” to make them more attractive to beekeepers and scientists.

APIMONDIA will take actions to increase the contacts and the recognition by other international organisations.

APIMONDIA recommends that special efforts are made by governmental responsible research authorities to support fundamental and coordinated research in the field of race characterisation of honeybee populations.

APIMONDIA will pay special attention to the humanitarian aspects of its mission.

A new working group is established as a regional forum under the APIMONDIA Standing Commission for Beekeeping and Rural Development to promote honey trade in Africa.

APIMONDIA will take steps to assist small-scale African beekeepers to develop their markets through the Fairtrade Labelling organisation.

APIMONDIA will distribute information on the role of bees in the pollination process and on the management of bees for use in commercial pollination.

APIMONDIA will compile and provide information about the interactions of managed bees with the environment.

APIMONDIA will work on the compiling of information concerning the keeping of stingless bees, based on improved knowledge of their flower visiting and nesting behaviour.

APIMONDIA will organise a workshop on pollination for beekeepers.

APIMONDIA will encourage equipment manufacturers to sell on the market appropriate equipment (food grade material, respect of temperatures, etc) for preserving bee product quality.

APIMONDIA will promote the seven specialised forums present on the website www.apimondia.org and put online a complete catalogue of equipment worldwide with suppliers addresses.

APIMONDIA will promote everywhere conservatories of bee races with appropriate selection plans.

APIMONDIA will promote new technologies as GIS (geographical information system) for better management of foraging areas.

APIMONDIA will address all aspects of beekeeping product quality.
