During the past few decades, Varroa has become the most dreadful pest with regard to beekeeping over the world. It causes the death of bees, the main pollinators for agriculture, either directly or indirectly, also affecting beekeeping produce as well as its products.

The absence of a miracle cure and the necessity for using our expertise in a more rational way, have led the authors to take stock of the current knowledge through a richly-illustrated practical manual, by applying their experiences as acarologists and beekeepers.
